Diet Fitness Program-Achieving Your Diet Fitness Goals Through Running

By Josh Neumann

Why do so many people fail to achieve their fitness goals? First of all, they don’t have a plan for how to get started, and how they intend to accomplish those targets. It’s not entirely their fault, actually.

There are so many different diet fitness program options available nowadays, information overload is easier than ever. As a result, many people fail to identify the right workouts that will help them achieve their fitness goals the quickest

There is no better workout to stay in shape than running. Long before weights, fitness equipment and home gyms were invented, the way human beings kept fit was simply running.

There are several benefits to running that are not easily replicable with other workouts. First of all, you can run anywhere, anytime you want to. Even if you don’t believe that you have enough time during the day to exercise, make time. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

Run between your car and your work building. Run at lunch time. If you really can’t run at those times or anytime during the day, purchase a treadmill and run when you get home.

No matter how busy you think you are, there is always time to run. All you really need is a good 20 minutes of vigorous running every day to keep your body active and alert.

Another suggestion is to conduct your workout outdoors. Exercising outside can help you achieve your fitness quickly and enjoyable. Let’s face it-after spending the day inside, being outside always has a rejuvenating effect on the mind and body.

When you begin to jog outdoors, you will find yourself anticipating your workout throughout the day; this will likely cause you to achieve your results much faster. Before you hit the trails, however, make sure you know the area you will be running in, especially if it’s wooded. Many runners have gotten lost because of a failure to simply acquaint themselves with the trail and the area they will be jogging in.

Come prepared for bad weather. If a sudden rainstorm or even snowstorm hits in the middle of your workout, simply brining a few extra layers of clothing will make a big difference.

The bottom line is, when you are first ready to embark on an exercise program, there is nothing better for your body than running. Jogging outdoors can be a great motivator to get you through the day and actually help you to accomplish your fitness goals much fester. The most important thing is to get started on your diet fitness program today.

All too many people set goals for getting fit, but fail to achieve them. When the time actually comes to take action, they put it off until tomorrow. Tomorrow becomes the next day, and the next, and so on.

Pretty soon, they decide just to forget it completely. When you make your workouts fun and enjoyable, the drudgery will be gone and you will find that getting started (and finishing) your workout is no problem at all.

You Get A Full Body Workout And A Toned Torso With A Rowing Machine.

By Kalwant Rana

One of the most complete cardiovascular exercises around has to be rowing. A proper workout on a rowing machine will tone all of the major muscle groups such as your legs, back and arms.

The beauty of using a concept 2 rowing machine is first of all it doesn’t involve water. This rower doesn’t get you wet and there are no early morning trips to get your machine out of the boat shed. No cold changing rooms and gale force winds for your training session. And there is definately no need to find the nearest river to row your machine on. All you have to do is set it up in an adequately spacious area and away you go.

There are lots of different machines available on the market. Although they generally fall into 2 categories:

- Water rowers

- Air rowers

The water rower, which contrary to their namesake, does not end up in you getting wet after a vigorous workout. The machines are very beautifully designed and use enclosed water and paddles for resistance as opposed to air. These rowers tend to be quieter than air rowers and are just as much works of art as they are exercise machines.

Then we have the concept 2 air rower. There are many other brands available but this piece of machinery is commonly accepted to be one of the best, if not the best. They are engineering masterpieces and are all calibrated to the same standard. So, if you do a certain time on a concept 2 rower, you can rest assured that, that time will be replicated exactly on another concept 2 machine. This is the reason why the world indoor rowing championships use the concept 2.

The information that the display monitors show on the concept 2 is extensive, with the new monitors even being able to be plugged into a PC, so you can race with other rowers from all around the world.

Cybex Arc Trainer vs Elliptical Trainers

By Jim Kesel

Cybex Arc Trainers are a great piece of fitness equipment. The development of the elliptical trainer has transformed the fitness centers and gyms across the country. The ability to do a full body workout with little or no impact allows you to burn more calories by exercising a larger group of muscles on your body. Elliptical trainers are in many cases replacing treadmills in local gyms and YMCA’s. When elliptical trainers first appeared the feel of using this new piece of fitness equipment was compared to running on air. However some users had trouble using the new cross trainers. Probably the largest complaint came in the form of knee discomfort. Almost the entire body motion on an elliptical trainer is through the knee. If you have a preexisting knee injury then the use of an elliptical trainer was at times uncomfortable. Some people would even warmed up their knees on a treadmill prior to climbing on an elliptical trainer. However if you talk to most elliptical trainer users you will find very few complaints. One additional problem comes from users that lean to far forward while using an elliptical machine. This puts undue strain on the back leading to cramps or post exercise back pain. Correct posture while using any piece of fitness equipment is important and this is especially true when using any cross trainer. Cybex has created a new cross trainer called the Arch Trainer that seeks to change the fundamental motion used in most ellipticals.

The Cybex Arc Trainer comes in several models all of which are considered commercial grade fitness equipment. They are priced accordingly with even the in home models exceeding $4000.00. Most people first come in contact with the Cybex Arc Trainer in their local fitness center or gym. Its flywheel is located at the front of the arc trainer just like the older Cybex elliptical trainers. The location of the pedals appears to be located slightly further to the rear of the arc trainer then you would find on many elliptical trainers. Upon mounting the arc trainer you almost immediately find that you are standing in a more upright position. As you begin to make your stride you will feel your hips doing more of the work. Most people find that using the Cybex Arc Trainer is slightly more comfortable then using some elliptical trainers. The incline feature of the Cybex Arc Trainer is really nice and easy to use. A thirty minute workout provides essentially the same workout as a top quality elliptical trainer with adjustable incline features. It appears to work all the same muscle groups that an elliptical trainer impact. The Cybex Arc Trainer handle bars work in the same motion as your feet do. Basically as the left foot goes forward so does the left handle bar in a very natural cross country skiing motion.

Cybex Arc Trainers are built to last and have lots of features that make them a premier piece of fitness equipment. The console is nicely setup and it has up to 12 exercise routines with varying resistance levels similar to many quality elliptical trainers. The biggest drawback to the Cybex Arc Trainer is the price. For the average fitness enthusiast it would be a major investment to purchase a Cybex Arc Trainer for in home use. A quality elliptical trainer provides the same exercise benefits as the Cybex Arc Trainer at less that half the price. If you really want to use the Cybex Arc Trainer as part of your exercise program we suggest you look for a fitness center that already has them.

Review Of Nautilus Elliptical Trainers

By Jim Kesel

The Nautilus e2000 and e3000 elliptical trainers were considered in our search for a good quality elliptical trainer. We spent a week looking at various elliptical trainers that would be able to withstand the heavy use by multiple users for periods up to an hour in length.

We interviewed a number of people who own or use Nautilus elliptical trainers to find out the pros and cons of these trainers. We heard lost of complaints about many poor quality and frequent breakdowns. We also heard from people who were very satisfied with their Nautilus elliptical trainers.

The benefits of using an elliptical trainer include low impact on joints, time saving intensive workouts, benefits of a weight bearing exercise and they are great for cross training by combining the benefits of a treadmill and a stepper.

Nautilus e2000 and e3ooo elliptical trainers are premium pieces of exercise equipment. At $2300.00 and $2700.00 respectively they are not cheap but have a 4 star rating for stability, quality of workmanship, durability, service, warranty, electronics, display and programming.

These Nautilus elliptical trainers are designed for regular sustained workouts either at home or in a commercial setting. Both elliptical trainers have fairly smooth operation and quiet operation.

Nautilus elliptical trainers are equipped with wireless heart rate control, touch heart rate monitor on the moveable handlebars, (5) window LED console, articulating foot pedals and reverse resistance. All of which make using the Nautilus elliptical trainer more enjoyable use.

The Nautilus e3000 elliptical trainer is very similar to the e2000 model, except it has a self-generating electromagnetic resistance system, which requires no batteries or power cords, allowing you to place the machine in any location. We found this to be a real plus allowing the elliptical trainer to be place in the middle of room with out the risk of a cord tripping someone. It comes with 20 resistance levels rather then 16.

Over all we found that the e-line of Nautilus elliptical trainers to be a good piece of fitness equipment for the home use where it used intensively and in some commercial applications. Even though the durability is rated good we would suggest getting the buyer purchase the extended warranty. It is strongly recommended that perspective buyers take the time to thourghly test any machine prior to purchase.
